Capt MK Sharma died on 23 Apr. He was only 48 yrs. Last year in Jun he was diagnosed with blood cancer. He was in n out of hospital throughout. His wt reduced from 100kg to 66 kg only. He informed FIP who started giving him monthly insurance. Since Feb he was very critical and in ICU. He tried to get an appt in CME for a review board so that he could be declared permanently unfit. Things took a turn for the worst and he died before he could get himself declared unfit. Now FIP says he is not entitled for his 1CR INSURANCE coz the policy does not cover sudden death due to critical illness.
It is a request to all our fraternity to pass on this message and garner support for lobbying with FIP and the underwriter Bajaj Alliance to pay out the dues to his wife. Imagine having a stroke and then hope that you don’t die before getting yourself declared unfit by DGCA permanently. Isn’t that a cruel joke.
